Paul Roper-Gee is an award winning Landscape Architect who has been practising since 1999 and works nationally across New Zealand. Paul has practised in a number of firms in Christchurch and the UK covering boutique residential garden design though to extensive public realm redevelopment and multidisciplinary urban design projects. While living in the UK Paul also worked as a gardener at the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens. His project work includes the redevelopment of Port Vila’s central waterfront in Vanuatu, Christchurch Coastal Pathway, Beach Road in Auckland CBD, and Christchurch City Mall. In 2012 Paul's Ellerslie International Flower Show Garden ‘Max’s Pipe Dream’ won Supreme and Gold Awards and separately a Resene Colour Maestro Award.
Paul's goal is create comfortable and inspiring spaces for people to live, work and play in and he enjoys working closely with clients, stakeholders and other design disciplines to see projects develop from early ideas through to implementation. Paul is skilled in both project and construction management. A solid understanding of horticulture, hard and soft landscape construction, and inspiration from both natural landscapes and the everyday urban environment inform Paul's design work.
